Street Teams? Yea or Nay? #MondayBlogs #marketing #bookmarketing #Bloggers #reviewers #bookstagrammers

I am definitely going to reveal my status as a noob author with this post.

A few weeks ago, whilst trolling the inter-webs for some marketing ideas for my book, The Last Dragon Rider, I came across the phrase Street Teams. Honestly, I hand’t heard this term before and had no idea what it was. So, I clicked the link to see where it would take me.

I found it very interesting indeed and totally had me wanting to create a Street Team! But, is this something worthwhile? Do I have the time to manage it? What kind of things would I need to do?

It’s seems to be a good idea if I could build one.

Firstly, for anyone who is unsure what a street team is, a street team is a group of readers who like my work and are interested in helping promote my books. Usually this is in the form of a private group or something like it.

The group can also a place to brainstorm and offer sneak peeks and the such. To interact with readers, hear their thoughts etc.

It would definitely be something that would grow slowly over time, since I have yet to complete my second book (it’s sooooo close!) but it’s something that has been simmering away in the back of my mind.

So my question to you is this?

Do you think a Street Team is something worthwhile looking in to? Yes or No?
