Spoiler Warning

I can’t believe it has taken me so long to review this book! OMG! This book was amazing and everything I wanted and more! The wait for this near killed me after A Court of Mist and Fury ended! I don’t even know where to start! I loved everything! So I’m just going to mention a few things, otherwise this review is going be like twenty pages long!

Rhysand and Feyre = Perfect. There is literally nothing I can say about these two other than they are freaking so perfect and amazing and I just love them to pieces.

Seeing where Feyre started in the first book, and where she is now has been a true wonder to watch. She is a total bad-ass and I love her so much, she is amazing! And Rhys? Since the beginning we keep getting told that Rhysand is the ‘most powerful High Lord in the world’, like so many times we are told this. In this book we finally see Phys let loose his full power and unleash his beast form. SO AWESOME!

I have to say my absolute favorite thing about this book was Cassian and Nesta. My god, I was living for even the slightest interaction between these two. Watching these two give me life. I squeed with joy each time Nesta allowed Cassianthat little bit closer, like simply allowing him to touch her hand of rest his hand on her back. And all their moments during the final chapters, oh my god, definitely my favorites!

“I have no regrets in my life, but this. That we did not have time. That I did not have time with you, Nesta. I will find you in the next world – the next life. And we will have that time. I promise.”

The one thing that did not sit right with me was a part of Mor’s story. The moment she was telling her story to Feyre broke my heart and I really did feel for her. I was utterly devastated for this woman who felt she could not be her true self. But what I did not like was how she continued to string Azriel on for like five hundred years. Azriel honestly believes he is not worthy or her. That part of the narrative I did not like. I mean, she did not have to tell him her secret, but I she didn’t have to keep him thinking he was not good enough.

But, in saying that Azriel had a beautiful developing friendship with Elaine…

Which left me torn! I loved seeing the tentative friendship budding between Az and Elaine, him seemingly the only one who is able to get through to her. They were so precious and it was beautiful to see her opening up to him little by little. And the moment Azriel gave her his dagger? *Swoon*

“This is Truth-Teller…It has never failed me once…Some people say it has magic and will always strike true. He gentle took her hand and pressed the hilt of the legendary blade into it. It will serve you well.”

But I also love Lucien! (Wish he didn’t disappear to half the dang book though!)

Personally I would love to see Elaine and Az get together and Lucien and her be like BFF’s. There is the continued emphasis that not all ‘mates’ are right for each other, so I think that could be an interesting way to go. But that’s just me.

And oh, that final battle! Oh. My. God! So freaking epic! I won’t say too much only that it was amazing and stressful and heartbreaking all at the same time. I had so many emotions it was difficult to keep up! It was difficult to read through my tears toward the end (for soooo many reasons!)

A Court of Wings and Ruin is the final installment for this trilogy, but the story is far from over.

An epic read and definitely suggest reading the whole series!

Amazing! Read it!
